Here is a enclosed porch I have been working on before the Coronavirus outbreak. After framing the walls in this porch I flashed the roof and installed the windows. Spraying closed cell foam insulation into the walls, ceiling and floor cavities, helps to achieve energy efficiency. This project used low-E vinyl new construction windows, included a garden window, which are low maintenance. These energy efficient windows are essential for reducing heating and cooling costs. I also trimmed the exterior with composite materials which will not fade, peel or rot. It’s not quite done yet, but I think you can get the feel of what it will look like when it is finished with built-in shelves. Enclosing this porch will certainly increase the value of this home.
