Here is a enclosed porch I have been working on before the Coronavirus outbreak. After framing the walls in this porch I flashed the roof and installed the windows. Spraying closed cell foam insulation into the wall, ceiling and floor cavities, helps to achieve energy efficiency. This project used low-E vinyl new construction windows, included a garden window, which are low maintenance.
I was called to take a look at a entry door which had rot in the door and side lite jambs. I recommended an entire replacement door with composite door frame which eliminates the risk of rotting and will last a lifetime.
Just before Christmas I was able to build a beautiful custom wood mantle. The inspiration was to make the large living room a more warm and cozy space for the holidays and to be enjoyed all year-round.
I was recently hired to do some carpentry work again on a previous renovation where I did the finish carpentry. I got to go back and look at the competed project again. I was glad to see that everything still looked great.

The decking on this farmers porch was originally installed with finish nails without the proper spacing between the deck boards. The railings were showing wear and the posts were beginning to rot.
